Living in Florida means it’s almost always shorts, tank tops or swimsuit season. We experience a few weeks a year of cold weather that requires jeans and a jacket to go outside. Because of our year round beautiful weather, it’s important to always go out with smooth legs, underarms and bikini areas. I don’t know about you, but the majority of my time in the shower is spent shaving my legs. Not only do I have to be a contortionist to get a close shave, but I spend way too much money on razor blades. I’m so excited to use and see results from Veet® Infini’Silk™ IPL home hair removal system.
Veet® Infini’Silk™
So what is Veet® Infini’Silk™? The Infini’Silk™ is a way for you to achieve permanent hair reduction at home. Hair growth is stopped at its root by intense pulsed light technology. These short pulses of light offer the same results you get at favorite salon or spa when you go for laser treatments.
I’ve never had professional laser hair removal treatment. I looked into it, but quickly decided against it when I saw how much it would cost. Where I live it would cost a few thousand dollars to have my legs done and several treatments. I don’t have the time or money to continually go to the spa and have a laser treatment done on my legs.
It’s Easy to Use
The Infini’Silk™ is really easy to use. All it takes is four simple steps and several treatments to see permanent hair removal.
- Get your skin ready with a close shave! This ensures that the light pulses can reach the hair follicle, which is why you cannot wax prior to your treatments. When you wax, you’re removing the hair follicle.
- Plug in and turn on your Infini’Silk™ device. Your laser will be loud. There are five power levels to choose from. For your first treatment begin with the lowest level and move up to the highest power level you’re comfortable with.
- Apply the rectangular area of the lamp flat on your skin. When I was first using the device I didn’t place it flat and flush with my skin. It wasn’t working and I had to play around with it a few times to get the hang of how to use it.
- Once you have it flat against your skin, push the pulse trigger. Prepare to jump with shock the first time you use it. It doesn’t hurt at all, but it makes a loud popping noise with a bright light flashing. I was laughing so hard the first time I used it. I almost jumped out of my skin and Lulu was clapping and jumping for me. I was quite the entertainment! Move the device along your skin and continue pulsing the button. You’ll feel a mild warm sensation where the light pulsed against your skin, but that’s all. It’s easy and painless!
Results With Veet® Infini’Silk™
You can only do a treatment every two to four weeks. I’ve only had my device for a week, so next week will be my second treatment with a higher power level. According to the guide in the box, results with be noticeable after four to five treatments with the device at a power level of 3 or higher.
After four treatments, I’ll post an update on my progress. I’m hoping I can achieve permanent hair reduction after about 10 treatments with my Veet® Infini’Silk™! It would be amazing to have shorter showers and be hair free.
My favorite direction in the box stated not use on areas where you might want hair in the future. So, don’t use it on your head!
