February is Heart Health Month. One in four deaths are caused by heart disease and it is the leading cause for both men and women in the United States. General Mills wants to help you maintain a healthy heart with three of their newest products: Cheerios +  Ancient GrainsChex Gluten Free Granola  and Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars.

3 Heart Healthy Tips Chex Gluten Free Granola

You’ll happily feed your family Gluten Free Chex™ Granola Mix knowing that it’s free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or colors, and made with simple ingredients! Gluten Free Chex™ Granola Mix comes in two delicious flavors: Mixed Berry Flavor and Honey Nut Flavor.

Mixed Berry Flavor is created with Chex squares, blueberries, cranberries, and almonds. Honey Nut Flavor is a yummy blend of granola, Chex squares, almonds and sweet honey nut clusters.

Lulu and I love to top our yogurt with granola and have really enjoyed the Gluten Free Chex™ Granola Mix Honey Nut Flavor with our vanilla greek yogurt.

Nature Valley Nut Crisp Bars

We love our nut, granola and protein bars. I make a variety to eat each month and buy a few different varieties too, but I try to stay away from a lot of store bought granola bars because they are loaded sugar.

Nature Valley® has two new Nut Crisp Bar flavors to enjoy: Salted Caramel Peanut Nut Crisp Bar and Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp Bar. The Salted Caramel Peanut Nut Crisp Bar is made with roasted peanuts, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds, then lightly dipped in delicious caramel flavor. I’m a sucker for salted caramel. What about you?

The Almond Dark Chocolate Nut Crisp Bar has almonds, roasted peanuts, and sunflower seeds, then lightly dipped in delicious dark chocolate flavor. Lulu is a big fan of dark chocolate almonds and really likes this bar.

Cheerios +  Ancient Grains

KAMUT wheat, spelt, and quinoa are the ancient grains found in new Cheerios™ +Ancient Grains. With only five grams of sugar, this lightly sweetened cereal is a healthy and nutritious way to start your day!

I usually don’t buy cereal for my family. I don’t like all of the sugar found in it and all of the Frankenstein ingredients. Cheerios™ +Ancient Grains offers 12 vitamins and minerals, 17g whole grain, low in fat and saturated fat, and is cholesterol free. This is a tasty healthy cereal for your family.
