Okay guys, here’s something I’m super excited to share with you all! I’m so fortunate to become a member of Starbucks Coffee Blogger Community. When Starbucks first invited me I was like, no way! Really?! I LOVE Starbucks and I’m thrilled that I’ll be able to share with you all of the newest Starbucks Coffee products that will be hitting your grocer’s shelves throughout the year. I can’t wait to go on this journey with you!
Starbucks Core Coffee Series
House Blend and Coffee Passport
Starbucks’ House Blend is a great daily coffee. This is my go-to morning blend. It’s a medium roast blend with a hint of chocolate. Who doesn’t love chocolate? The House Blend was the very first blend created by Starbucks back in 1971 and we can still enjoy it today!
Starbucks Coffee Passport is a fun book sharing the history and journey of coffee. My favorite pages include the four steps of tasting coffee. I didn’t even know there were four steps! I’m already learning a lot on this journey.
- Smell – Your nose can detect thousands of smells. You should cup your hand over the coffee while holding it close to you nose and breathe in the aroma.
- Slurp – When you do this it sprays the coffee across your palate and it reaches all of the tasting areas in your mouth.
- Locate – Where do you feel the coffee’s weight in your mouth?
- Describe – What words best characterize the experience of the coffee? Can you compare it to other drinks or foods?
Caffe Verona and Pour-Over Brewer
Caffe Verona is a great blend when you need an extra pick-me-up. I love this blend when I’m having a tough time getting going. I’m currently at school again and late nights studying make my early mornings challenging. This is a robust dark blend that isn’t over powering for those who don’t like dark blends.
Caffe Verona was originally called Jake’s Blend, but the love was so strong for it that Starbucks eventually called it Verona after the beloved city.
I’ve never used a pour-over brewer before and this Starbucks tutorial on to properly use it is really helpful. Manual coffee brewing systems are the preferred way to brew delicious coffee because it regulates flow to allow for the full extraction of coffee flavors. I’m going to have to practice my pouring technique.
Veranda Blend and Gold Dot Double Wall Traveler
I enjoy Starbucks Veranda Blend in the afternoon. It’s a very mellow light coffee. I usually brew it after Lulu and I get home from our Mommy and Me ballet class.
Perfecting the Veranda Blend was quite the task. It took Starbucks more than 80 tries to develop the flavors they wanted in this blend. The end-result is a wonderfully subtle mellow flavor.
I’m in love with my Gold Dot Double Wall Traveler. It’s pretty and feminine and just what I’d buy for myself! I love the hand-painted look of the gold polka-dots. I’m going to have my friend who’s an artist make a beautiful “C” on my raised circle spot for me.
Relax and Enjoy a Freshly Brewed Cup of Starbucks Coffee
I’ve been under enormous stress lately and I don’t like it. It was such a beautiful day when my Starbucks package arrived that I decided to go relax on the kids playground. Just swinging away relieved some of the anxiety and helped me to forget about my anxiety. Pretending to be a kid can do wonders for your soul. You should try it sometime.
Don’t allow your days to stress you out. Make sure you take a little me time by relaxing and enjoying a freshly brewed cup of Starbucks Coffee.
Starbucks Coffee’s mission statement is, “To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.”
