Hello, Sunshine. Summertime is in full swing for us and that means one thing – vacation time! We’re going on a cruise next month and I’m so excited! JD grew up in Florida, so he’s been on a lot of cruises, but this will be the first one for the rest of us. I’m slightly worried about getting sea sick, but I can’t wait to experience it with my family.
Even though I live in Florida, I’m rather pasty. My children and JD all have beautiful glowing Italian skin tones, while my Swede ancestry is pretty dominant for me. In the last few years, I’ve made a conscious effort to apply sunscreen whenever I go outside. I’d rather be pale than have skin cancer and because of this, I use a self-tanner to fake a golden tan throughout the year.
Lulu and I ran into Walmart the other day to pick-up a few items. We were in the lotion aisle and I was intrigued by JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin® Moisturizer. I’ve been a fan of JERGENS Moisturizers for years, but this was the first time I saw their Wet Skin Natural Glow Moisturizer.
Okay, so now I can use my favorite sunless tanner in the shower and not have to wait for it to dry?! Because honestly, that’s the worst part about applying any moisturizer is waiting for it to dry and I should know. I apply a moisturizer post-shower, after washing my hands, doing the dishes, laundry, cleaning, really whenever my skin feels dry. Having dry skin drives me crazy!
I couldn’t wait to try JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer! The directions are easy to follow: Once you’re finished with your shower simply massage a small amount on any and all body parts you’d like to have a beautiful sunkissed glow to, pat your skin dry, and voila – you’re done! You don’t have to worry about it staining your clothes either.
I decided to exfoliate my skin before I finished my shower with an in-shower scrub to remove any dead and dry skin. I also used less on my knees and ankles to avoid any patchy looks that may appear later on. It took about three days before I began to notice that I was gradually displaying a tan. After a few more days of continuous use, I had a sunkissed glow!
I LOVE that JERGENS Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer has a light scent and doesn’t smell like a self-tanner. It’s a great and much-appreciated improvement. The moisturizer comes in two different tones: light to medium and medium to tan.
I have less than a month to get ready for our cruise, but I’m happy to know that I won’t have to worry about being a tanned goddess before I set foot on the ship.
