Confessions of An Origins Addict

Hello, Sunshine! I love all things beauty and always try to put my best face forward. I’ve dabbled with a lot of various skincare lines, trying to find the one that works best for my skincare needs. Last Christmas I discover Origins skincare and I’ve been a fan since.

So why do I love Origins so much? I’m happy to find a skincare line that maintains a level of purity in their products. The products are paraben free, created with certified organic ingredients and 100% natural essential oils. And Origins products make my skin and hair feel amazing!

Dr. Weil Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum – This my first trip into the world of serums. I didn’t want something that was overpowering, but lightweight and effective. My skin feels amazing after I apply it and I’ve noticed my tone evening out.

GinZing Oil Free Moisturizer – I admit that for the longest time I avoided moisturizer because I have combination skin and I assumed that by applying moisturizer I would have extremely oily skin. Wrong! My t-zone is less shiny now that I use this moisturizer every morning.

High Potency Night-A-Mins – This is much heavier than my daytime GinZing moisturizer because it is chocked full of repairing vitamins your skin needs. My skin is so soft now and JD is a fan of night-a-mins too!

No Puffery – I suffer from unbearable eye allergies. When my eyes are puffy and swollen this cooling ball of gel instantly relieves the itch, puffiness and dryness my eyes suffer from.

A Perfect World For Eyes – I’m genetically gifted with dark eye circles. Thank you, Dad. My eye circles are more red than gray, but I really could do without it. This is a firming eye cream that plumps up my eyes and makes my eye circles fade away.

Clear Improvement Mask – This was the first Origins product I purchased. This is an active charcoal mask. It warms up when applied to your skin. When the mask has completed its job, you can see all of the nasty gunk it has pulled out of your skin. I use this once a week to help keep my complexion clear.

Drink It Up Lip Balm – Pretty berry colored lip quenching lip balm. I don’t need to say anymore.

GinZing Creme Eyeshadow – This is a shimmering eye cream that doesn’t crease or wear off throughout the day. I like the lightweight texture and natural look of it.

GinZing Mascara – This is a great volumizing and lengthening mascara. Some ladies are not fans of how big the brush is, but it doesn’t bother me. The only complaint I have is that the last time I bought this mascara it clumped easily and didn’t work as well as the first tube. I think I got a funky bunch this time. Sadly, no Marky Mark was included.

No Deposit Shampoo – I think this may be my absolute favorite Origins product. I hate when shampoo/conditioner clump in the nape of my neck or the feeling of extra product in my hair. My hairstylist said that volumizing shampoo might be what’s weighing my hair down because it’s placing product to “plump” up the hair, but it usually makes your hair feel gross. I use No Deposit Shampoo once a week to wash away all of the product and pollution debris left in my hair. The result is soft and shiny hair.

Ginger Up Shampoo and Conditioner – I use Ginger Up Shampoo and Conditioner twice a week. These are gentle hair products that clean and condition your hair. I discovered that if I want my hair to have body I simply need my hair to be clean and free of product buildup.

I want to be an example for and teach my daughters and son that beauty comes from the inside, but that it’s important to take of ourselves and the skin we’re given.

Do you have a favorite Origins product?

What skincare line do you use?

  • Oh I’ve heard so many great things about Origins but have never tried their products. They sound fantastic and I can’t wait to try a few of them out after I’ve finished some Korres ones I got. Thanks for sharing Chastity! Love love love the video, you look gorgeous mama 🙂

    • Chastity says:

Thank you, Kelly! I still use some Korres products, too. I feel like a hoarder with my supplies of Origins products. 🙂 xo

  • Mrs. AOK says:

I’ve been wanting to try Origins for sometime, I’ve read good things about them. I may have to give them a shot, I mean your skin looks great, so it has to work 🙂

    • Chastity says:

My skin went to crap after Lulu, but thank you for your kind words. I had a total pity party weekend and was sitting contemplating botox/mommy makeover this weekend. But, I really like Origins. I love that it’s organic and natural. xoxo

  • I’ve never tried Origins products before, but thanks for your review! I’m always looking for new products to try and help pretty myself up some as naturally as possible. I have the cursed dark eye circles as well (Dad, I’m glaring at you!), so may need to try that product out!

    • Chastity says:

Why is it that dad’s passed on this crappy trait? I HATE it, ugh! Bring in an empty jar/tube of any skincare product to an Origins store or counter in a department store and Origins will give you one free sample per empty bottle as part of the recycling program. It’s a win-win for everyone. xo

  • Ohhh good to know! Thanks!
