Hello, Sunshine! Summer is quickly winding down, but hopefully, you have travel plans in the future or went somewhere earlier in the year. I’m a notorious over-packer, especially when packing for my kids. I always pack an extra pair of undergarments and clothing. You never know when they may need it, but it’s much easier to pack for myself. Here’s my list of simplified traveling essentials.
Traveling Essentials
Leather Luggage
Why leather? Leather is a durable product that boasts a long lifespan. It’s perfect for traveling and everyday use. You’ll want luggage that withholds the beating of traveling, protects your clothing and looks great, too!
Pack Only What You’re Going to Wear
Yes, the bare minimum. You can always pick up something if you need it later, but only pack what you need for each day.
Sunglasses and Sunscreen
You’re going to be outside at some point. It’s important to protect your eyes at all times. Also make sure that you’re protecting your skin year-round with sunscreen.
Electronics and Chargers
Although I like to be as unplugged as possible while traveling, I know that technology is an important part of our lives. I use my phone to take 99% of all of my photos, so I’d be lost if I didn’t have a fully charged phone with me at all times.
Book
There’s nothing like unwinding with a good book. I try to alternate between a fiction and non-fiction book. Relaxing in a hammock with a good book is bliss!
Water Bottle
It’s important to stay hydrated every day. A refillable water bottle ensures that you’re hydrated and you can fill it up almost anywhere.
Fitness Clothes
You never know when you’ll feel the urge to break a sweat. Pack one set of fitness clothes and be ready to sweat off the yummy new foods you’re enjoying.
