Thank you to Pfizer Pediatric for sponsoring today’s conversation. We love that they support mother’s everywhere, especially when Sick just got real™!
Hello, Sunshine! I don’t know what the deal is around here, but we can’t seem to find the springtime sickness going around. Last week JD and Lulu were both fighting a stomach bug that the kids and I had last month. It’s not the flu, but just a painful stomach bug. I don’t wish it on anybody. Unfortunately, Sick just got real™ at our house.
It’s amazing how at one moment your baby is happy and having the time of her life, and the next minute she’s holding her tummy crying in the Target shopping cart. It’s a moment that every mom fears. How fast can I checkout and get home before full blown sickness happens? Will we make it out before we cause a bigger scene?
Poor Lulu’s tummy wasn’t having any of it. We made it successfully out of Target, but the ride home wasn’t a success.
When I got her home I had moments of where there was almost anything I would rather do than clean up her sickness. I could float on a lazy river, eat authentic Italian in Italy, really anything would have been better, but what could I do?
As I was cleaning up all I could think of was how I wanted my baby to be okay and tell me she loved me. I wanted to hear her running through the house laughing and being my little Lulu.
So if you want to know what mom’s really dream about, it’s for her family to be happy and healthy, because that’s all that really matters.
