Hello, Sunshine! I don’t know about you, but slowing down the hands of time is on top of my to-do list. My babies are growing up too fast, our dog is getting up there in years, and I have a birthday coming up soon. It’s a privilege to be healthy and have the opportunity to celebrate another year, but if I’m going to be honest, I’d like to diminish the signs of physical aging. I know to some it may sound vain, but I’d like a magic little potion that would give me a youthful glow forever! One thing I can do is whiten my teeth and never be ashamed of the way the look when I’m speaking with someone or smiling in pictures.
I’m guilty of being a coffee, tea and on occasion, red wine drinker. All three stain your teeth and make your smile look dull over time. 🙁 No one wants an off white or yellow smile. I’ve tried at home teeth whitening treatments and when I’ve used the strip style whitening treatments I noticed that the results faded quickly and made my already sensitive teeth ache with even more sensitivity. If you have sensitive teeth, you know how painful it can be.
When Smile Brilliant reached out to me to try their whitening trays I was hesitant. The first thing I mentioned was my sensitive teeth. I’ve avoided whitening from the dentist office in fear of never eating or drinking again. My wonderful Smile Brilliant representative understood my hesitation and explained that Smile Brilliant offers a desensitizer that accompanies the whitening process.
I was so excited to not only whiten my teeth, but not have to deal with increased sensitivity! Smile Brilliant gives you the amazing teeth whitening outcome you would get from the dentist office, but you can do it from the comfort of your home. The whole kit is amazing and their customer service is top notch.
The inside of your kit contains top and bottom mouth pieces to create custom molds of your teeth. Smile Brilliant provides excellent instructions on how to create your custom mold so you don’t have to worry about messing it up. If you do happen to have a mistake or your mold doesn’t come out right, they offer enough molding agents for you to create three molds.
Once you’ve completed your molds you send them to Smile Brilliant and they create your custom fit whitening trays. They emailed me all along the way letting me know that they had received my molds and that my trays would arrive at my door in about one week.
Once my trays arrived it was time to start whitening. I was still a little nervous about increased sensitivity, so I decided for my initial whitening process to only be for 45-minutes. Smile Brilliant can be used from 45-minutes up to three hours. After whitening my teeth I applied the desensitizing gel to my teeth for another 20-minutes. One thing to mention is you cannot eat or drink for another 30-minutes post desensitizing, so it’s best to whiten your teeth right before bed.
