Tampa Bay nonprofits, Humana and the Humana Foundation want to give you a $350,000 grant to help you promote and focus on building healthy relationships and behaviors. This multi-year grant will help your 501(c)(3) improve the health and well-being of the greater Tampa Bay community.
The Humana Foundation is interested in funding programs that promote:
- Physical activity and sports programs
- Nutrition education programs
- Intergenerational and peer-to-peer mentorships between caring adults and youth
- Friendly visitors supporting isolated seniors living at home
- Coach mentors to at-risk youth
For the first time this year’s Humana Communities Benefit program will feature an online community vote this summer based upon a video submitted by three finalists.
Take a look at this previous winner’s video:
The winning nonprofit will receive $200,000 the first year; $100,000 the second year; and $50,000 in the final year.
Eligible nonprofit organizations in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco and Pinellas counties may submit their applications on humana.com/hcb, starting today until June 30.
A portion of the grant will be awarded each year based on the completion of milestones and required outcome reports. These milestones should be measurable and demonstrate how your nonprofit supports healthy behaviors and healthy relationships.
Applying organizations must have a minimum operating budget of $1,000,000 and cite previous projects in order to be considered.
Tampa Bay nonprofits, what are you waiting for? This is a great opportunity to win a grant from the Humana Foundation that will aide you in making Tampa Bay a community built on healthy relationships and behaviors.
