Hello, Sunshine! School is officially in full swing, and our hectic schedule has begun. Our day starts at 6:45 when CC bikes to school and ends at 7:30 when the last swim practice is finished. With a full-time work and school schedule, I’m always looking for ways to make things simpler. One way is to have a good old fashion pizza night. We try to eat gluten-free as much as possible and often that it’s tricky to find yummy substitutes. Papa John’s new Gluten-Free crust pizza is delicious, especially for a gluten-free product!
Back to School
I’m 50/50 with back to school. I’m excited for the new things my children will learn, friendships that will be made, and the lack of 24/7 arguing among the siblings. At the same time, I miss my kids while they’re gone and of course, I worry about them. It’s a mama’s job to love and worry about her little ones.
Pizza Night With Papa John’s Gluten-Free Crust Pizza
#PJGLUTENFREECRUST is really yummy! I know that some gluten-free products are bland and not tasty at all. I was worried that Papa John’s gluten-free crust would taste like cardboard. I’m happy to report that their ancient grain based crust is quite tasty! The ancient grains crust is made from never-frozen dough and includes sorghum, teff, amaranth, and quinoa. We eat quinoa on a regular basis, but this may be our first time trying sorghum and teff.
I ordered my pizza online. I think it makes it easier to customize it the way I want. I ordered a light-sauce, extra cheese, pepperoni, and mushrooms gluten-free crust pizza. I don’t like my pizza covered in sauce with little to no cheese on it. I was so happy to see that my local Papa John’s created the pizza perfectly to my order.
I wanted to get pictures of my kids enjoying the pizza, but CC ate all of it before I could snap a picture. He really liked it and said he’d eat it again. That’s good news for my fellow parents of 11-years-olds. I can’t say if it’s 4 or 8-years-old approved. My poor girls didn’t get to try the pizza but based off of CC’s response, I’d say they would, too!
