I have pin-straight hair. I have a difficult time finding volumizing hairspray that doesn’t leave your hair flakey, oily, or looking like helmet hair.
I used to always purchase Pantene Fine Hair Lasting Volume Maximum Hold Hairspray. But when Pantene underwent a look update, I couldn’t find the hairspray anywhere on the shelves. I usually have both kids (young) with me while I shopping, so I don’t have time to play find the product I’m looking for.
I recently signed-up for free samples of John Frieda’s products. I love the John Frieda Radiant Red Luminous Color Glaze, Brighter, Vivid Red so, I thought I would try John Frieda Luxurious Volume All-Out Hairspray. There was a coupon for $2.00 off in Sunday’s coupons and when I went to Target, there was a $1.00 off coupon attached to the bottle. Saving $3.00, how could I pass up?
After washing and air drying my hair. It really is pin-straight. I styled it. My family is blessed with awful cowlicks, so I have to hide mine. My cowlick is the only real reason I use hairspray. So I did a little backcombing, smoothed my hair and applied the hairspray.
When I opened my eyes, I was impressed. My hair was voluminous, but didn’t look stiff. It looked like it had great body. But, the true test. Would it hold in humidity?
I loaded up the kids, ran a few errands and came home. Looking in the mirror, my hair separated a little bit, but not too bad for 4 hours of humidity and kids. I will purchase John Frieda Luxurious Volume All-Out Hairspray again, especially if I can save money.
Cheers to beautiful, voluminous hair.
