Hello, Sunshine! How’s your summer going so far? I can’t believe it’s halfway over! Life has been hectic for me. We bought a new house (Yay!), CC and Gracie have been active at various athletic camps and I’m busy studying to earn my broker’s license. We’ve had no downtime since… Wait I don’t think we ever have downtime. We’re a super busy family and I’m thankful for little conveniences like Starbucks Iced Coffees and Frappuccinos.
Starbucks Iced Coffees and Frappuccinos
I’m not a morning person – at all! CC has had early morning swim team practice this summer and it’s all I can do to drag my butt out of bed. And the kids? It takes almost 30 minutes to get them awake. It’s quite the circus trying to get us out the door on time. When I’m in a hurry, Starbucks DoubleShot Coffee and Protein is a lifesaver. It’s a great perk me up when I don’t have time to brew a cup of coffee at home and it’s a great added bonus that it contains 20g protein.
Frappuccinos, Anyone?
I remember when JD and I were living in our first apartment together in Las Vegas. We used to buy Starbucks bottled frappuccinos weekly at the store. This was way before we had a coffee pot or kids. Starbucks Frappuccinos was our quick and easy morning coffee. JD liked the mocha flavor, while I preferred vanilla. Now there’s so many yummy flavors! JD really liked the S’mores flavored Frappuccino while the Mocha Coconut was just to my liking. I really like the toasted coconut flavor in my frappuccino.
I’ll Take An Iced Coffee
I want you all to know how sweet this little dog is. My Sophie girl is eight and the best little dog. She insisted on getting in the picture. I think she really wanted to sleep on this great blanket from Starbucks outside.
I don’t know how it’s possible, but I’ve never tried Starbucks bottled Iced Coffee. Is that a Starbucks’ sin? I claimed the Caramel coffee for myself (surprise!) and gave JD the Vanilla one. I’m a nice sharing wife, but I have a major soft spot for all things caramel. I love that these iced coffees have great flavor, but less calories than the Starbucks Frappuccinos.
Ready In An Instant
I’ll admit that I was iffy about trying iced instant coffee. Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee is a game changer for me. I’ve always thought of instant coffee as having an off putting taste, but Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee was far from that! Anytime I can pour a packet of coffee deliciousness into a cup and mix it with milk (my preferred choice) is amazing! It’s lightly sweetened with cane sugar and not watery tasting like I had feared. The packet says to mix the coffee with water, but try it with milk or any of your favorite nut milks. You’ll thank me later.
Making Summer Memories
One of the reasons we bought the house we did was the beautiful lake we have in our backyard. CC and JD enjoy fishing together, while the girls like having picnics with their baby dolls and Sophie. We see deer, turtles, and cranes daily. Even though summer is racing by, I want to enjoy all of the special moments with my family even in my own backyard. I’m happy that Starbucks has made it convenient to enjoy a great cup of coffee without sacrificing time or flavor.
