Why should you start a blog? Is it a lot of work? Sometimes. Is it time consuming? Yes. So why did I become a blogger? I find it to be a therapeutic way to express my thoughts, passions and experiences with other people.

- It’s a powerful way to express yourself. In the wise words of Madonna, “Express yourself, don’t repress yourself.” I’m totally guilty of holding things in until I burst. My job can be really stressful at times and I find blogging about my favorite things really relaxing. Blogging about experiences and the things I love allows me to hit the reset button and find my happy place. Honestly, there’s no way I can be stressed out if I’m blogging about how proud I am of my children or discussing my favorite new skincare, makeup or fashion trends.
- Discover who you really are. I’ve learned a lot about myself through blogging and networking with other bloggers. A blog is the ultimate online journal. I am a happy, enthusiastic girl and that’s why I named my blog My Rays of Sunshine. Blogging has secured my belief that everyday is a ray of sunshine and a gift to be enjoyed. My Rays of Sunshine is a fun and encouraging lifestyle blog. It truly reflects who I am as a person. One day I hope to be able to look back at this website and see what made me happy at this point in my life. I want to take pride in how much I’ve grown and matured through the years.
- Because you are the missing piece of the puzzle. Maybe you’re an awesome chef. I’d love to learn a new and exciting recipe from you. Are you tech savvy? Everyday I try to absorb all of the technology information that I can to improve my business. Or, perhaps you are the ultimate fashionista. I want you to show me how I can style myself like my favorite stars. The internet is full of bloggers, but what it’s lacking is you and your voice, your thoughts, and your contributions!
