Hello, Sunshine! I know I’ve been missing lately. I thought life would be smooth sailing once school was out, but I was wrong! I’ve been busier than ever with work, baseball camps, dance camps, visiting grandparents and vacation planning. Whew! I haven’t been had much time to blog, but I’ve spent a few spare moments blog hopping. I’ve discovered some great websites and I’ve figured out what makes a blogger intriguing to me.
Elle – Elle Sees
I love discovering new beauty, fashion and lifestyle bloggers, but I know a lot of people think these bloggers life’s seem unrealistic. I’m so happy I found Elle from Elle Sees . She is an amazing beauty and lifestyle blogger and is completely relatable. Win! I discovered her on Instagram and love the wonderful photos she shares of her beauty tips, real life adventures and adorable morkie, Charlie. This week Elle shared on her blog about her struggles with social anxiety. I was shocked to learn that a beautiful, confident blogger struggled with an issue many of her followers suffered from. Her beautiful piece shared about her fears of being vulnerable, but how putting all of her cards on the table may help someone else or let them know they’re not alone. She earned points in my book for simply being real.
Danielle Walker – Against All Grain
Danielle Walker is the accomplished author and creator of Against All Grain. I’m always looking for delicious paleo recipes and discovered Danielle from a paleo Pinterest pin. I make sure her Facebook page is always displayed in my Facebook feed so I won’t miss a single recipe. She recently shared the excitement of her pregnancy and sadly, the heartbreaking news of losing her daughter, Aila Jane. She first posted about learning of Aila’s condition, Lethal Osteogenesis Imperfecta, at her 20 week ultrasound. My heart broke for Danielle and her family for the loss of her baby girl. I don’t know Danielle and will more than likely never meet her, but her raw emotion and honesty made it so easy to connect and empathize with her as a mother.
Jenna – A Mama Collective
There are a lot of awesome mommy bloggers and Jenna from A Mama Collective is one of my favorites. She recently confessed that she’s good at managing everything but herself. I find blog confessionals to be a great release of the inner struggles we all face. Jenna has confessed about her concerns of sharing her religious beliefs, marriage excitements and everyday mama struggles. Sometimes finding a blogger on the internet you can relate to is therapeutic in a way. It can provide emotional relief by connecting with someone whom we don’t have to worry about condemning us behind our backs in real life. It’s nice to know that someone out there has the same struggles as we do.
