Currently – New Adventures, Making a House a Home, Birthday Boy

Hello, Sunshine! I’m back from my little hiatus. Life has been super busy for me and I’m so happy with the changes over the summer and the new adventures beginning next month for me!

1. I’m a Small Business Owner

Because studying makes you sexy. I need all of the motivation I can get. #TooManyFormulas

All of my studying paid off and now I’m a small business owner! I don’t know why, but I was scared to death to fail my test. It was more of an ego thing than anything else. I would have been so disappointed in myself if I would have failed after all of the time I spent in class and studying for my tests. Now, I’m finishing all of the details to make my business a success. #SmartIsSexy

2. Making My House a Home

I paid only $13 for this amazing Cheetah find @kirklands! I love finding unique pieces. #HomeDecor #Art #kirklands

I’m beyond excited to finally have a home to decorate. It’s thrilling not to be living out of boxes and never personalizing a home. Last week I began painting the inside of my house. I forgot what a tedious task painting is, but I LOVE the new color. It’s so much more me and has really transformed the house. I love the art I’ve found and I can’t wait to find more unique pieces for our home. 3. My Baby Turned 10!

Happy 10th birthday to the boy who made me a mama! Of course we had to celebrate at Blizzard Beach.

CC turned 10! I’m not sure how that happened so quickly. He was the cutest baby boy ever and now he’s almost a teenager! So now I’m embarking on the tween years. I don’t know what this means for any of us, but he’s a great kid and I’m excited to see where this new adventure takes him.

I can’t believe that this weekend marks an end to the summer. It absolutely flew by! We didn’t take a summer vacation, but we’re hoping to go on a cruise in December. I suffer from motion sickness and I’m slightly scared of suffering from sea sickness on the boat. Do you have any suggestions on avoiding sea sickness on a cruise?

What was the awesomest moment of your summer? (yes, awesomest!)

What are you looking forward to this fall?

  • So many exciting things for you!! I can’t wait to hear more about your business venture! In fact, I will be e-mailing you probably in a few weeks about some business questions.

For your first cruise I would definitely recommend getting a room with some kind of balcony that way you can always look out and not feel trapped. Also, start with a smaller cruise like a 3 or 4 night one just to see how you fare.

I’ll be looking forward to your email. 🙂 JD suggested that I train by sitting in the backseat of the car – not funny. Have a great weekend in Disney! We might try to go to Typhoon Lagoon one day. xo

Yay, so many awesome things! Happy Happy Birthday to your sweet boy and congrats on your business and getting settled in your new home 🙂 This summer really did fly by! I’ve never been but a cruise sounds like so much fun! 🙂
