Hi I’m Michelle and I blog over at Our Three Peas and I am honored to be guest hosting on My Rays of Sunshine today! I love to write about all things motherhood and today I am sharing an awesome recipe for a DIY Lavender Sugar scrub. This is a great gift for someone or even yourself 🙂 I hope you enjoy it and stop by some time and visit me at my blog, on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or on Instagram!
Looking for a great gift for someone special? How about one that smells amazing and only uses 3 little ingredients? I’ve got the perfect one for you: this 3 ingredient lavender sugar scrub. This scrub is amazing for getting all that dead summery skin off of your body- scrub it on, let it sit for a bit and exfoliate the day away. It smells so great and the lavender is calming- perfect for moms! What’s even better is that it only uses 3 ingredients that you can probably find at your grocery store! Store it in a pretty glass jar and hang a tag on it and you are good to go. One batch of this filled up three smaller mason jars with a little left over.
Lavender Sugar Scrub
2 3/4 cups sugar
1 cup olive oil
abt 30 drops of lavender essential oil
– Stir together in a large bowl and store in a jar
That’s it! Easy huh? I found my essential oil in the organic/natural section of my grocer. I’d love to try lemon next.
If you would like to hang some pretty tags on your jars, you can use my image below- just right click and save to the computer to print out!
I gave these as gifts this week but have some left over for me and I cannot wait to use it!
What’s your favorite essential oil? What fun uses do you have for it?
