In case you haven’t noticed, My Rays of Sunshine underwent a little bit of a makeover. I hope you like it! I wanted to update the site to reflect my evolving goals in life and to encourage each one of us to keep on blooming.
I don’t remember where I first saw this quote, but I instantly fell in love with it.
I’m a firm believer that we overcomplicate life and spend way too much time complaining. Life is over quickly and I truly want to enjoy and embrace each moment I’m given. I’m not afraid of change and I want to keep on blooming.
So here’s what you can expect to see from the new My Rays of Sunshine:
- A simplified, modern website – I’ve spent hours searching for the perfect design and I’ve had few stumbling blocks along the way. I studied hundreds of beautiful sites with stunning handwritten logos that I was drawn to, but I realized that wasn’t the look or feel I was trying to express. I am in love with the clean look of the site! It clearly reflects upon the clarity I’m searching for in my daily life.
- A lifestyle magazine approach – My Rays of Sunshine is a lifestyle blog about a girl trying to do it all. I am a mother, blogger, real estate agent, beauty and style enthusiast, and a true girlie girl at heart. It seems like so many blogs are dedicated to creating the perfect meal or creating the most beautiful crafts from twigs in the backyard. But that’s not me and I found myself discouraged and lost in the blogging world. I felt like I didn’t have anything to offer because I wasn’t blogging about becoming the perfect housewife. What I will share with you is what I do know or what I’m attempting to learn and my failures.
- More vlogging – Once I adjust the lighting in my video room, I will be providing more videos on the site. I will continue to create to short and to the point videos and posts here. I know your time is precious and you don’t have 20 minutes to waste waiting for me to properly get my message out.
- More input from what you, the reader, would like to read or see. I would love to increase the interaction between you and me. I want this to be a relationship where you share ideas or ask questions you would love to have answered. It would make me so happy if you and I evolved together! Maybe we can change the world. (I know, I know baby steps!)
Hopefully, we can encourage each other to not worry about competing with our neighbors, friends, family, coworkers and most importantly, ourselves. Together, we can keep on blooming.
So what do you think? Are you a fan of the new look?
