Sometimes the Naughty List is Fun

“If you’re in a jam and suddenly realize that my name has vanished from your shopping list… something from your house is fine, preferably if it’s used. Who wouldn’t want mind a little pre-loved bath gel or lotion, or soap that you’ve found a little too fragrant for your tastes. Shampoo that’s not for you, pour some sugar on me! I understand that you’ve merely pretested it to make sure it lives up to the standards you set for giving gifts. I totally understand that. Kind of like when people would taste food for kings to make sure it’s not poisoned, except in this case, you spit a little back on the plate is all. That’s all. Just a little spit. What’s a little spit in a heartfelt Christmas gift? So little that you almost can’t tell it’s hardly there at all. Hardly. I would also love little sample...

Naughty or Nice?

Last week, my kid’s Coco called to tell me about a video she was making for them from Santa. I didn’t know what video she was talking about, but today I received an email with a special message from Santa for both of my kids via Portable North Pole. My kids were glued to the computer screen watching their personalized videos. My 2-year-old daughter was busy waving to Santa and showing him her wish list, while my 6-year-old son was overly concerned about the outcome of the elves’ machine. Needless to say, they were both on Santa’s nice list. So what is Portable North Pole? Portable North Pole allows you to create a personalized naughty or nice message from Santa Claus. In just a few easy steps, you can create a personalized video from Santa Claus for your children, friends, family members or colleagues a you choose, by providing...

Burning the Midnight Oil

Burning the Midnight Oil

It looks like I’ll be burning the midnight oil on Christmas Eve. When a Christmas package was delivered to our house, my 2-year-old princess ran, grabbed her keys and tried with all her might to carve the box open. After her failure to open the box, she begged me to open it for her. I had to look inside and tell her the store sent an empty box. Needless to say, the screaming and crying began, followed by the comment, “Come on man.” With her persistence no wrapped Christmas gift will be safe or untouched under our Christmas tree. Luckily, big brother is at school all day and it is much easier to hide his presents. Maybe he’ll keep the Christmas gift mystery alive, but I highly doubt it. I hope I have a lot of hiding places and plenty of boxes to hide their presents!
