Once upon a time I was a ballerina. For 20 years, I put my body through rigorous training and I enjoyed every minute of it. Throughout the years, I have accumulated many, many tutus. I’m glad I have kept each costume. Now I have a little girl who will be moving out of her crib into a daybed. I plan on going with a ballerina themed room that is not cheesy, but is classic and beautiful. My parents were preparing for a yard sale when they found my boxes of costumes. I knew I wanted to use each tutu as decoration in my little girls room. I wanted to find feminine bedding for her room. Not little ballerina’s tacked onto a quilt. I found this beautiful bedding at The Land of Nod.

Dear Husband, I love this bedroom. It’s romantic and everything I dreamt of as a little girl. Yes, it does need some color. Gray walls will be replaced with a pleasing shade of purple. Purple is the color of royalty. Purple connotes luxury, wealth, and sophistication. It is also feminine and romantic. The linens and accessories will be a shade of violet with splashes of yellow. I know it’s feminine but seriously, what married man cares what the bedroom looks like. To him it’s only purpose is for two things sleeping and sex. So now you know. Let me rest my pretty little head in this girly room. Treat me like a princess and I will treat you as a king. Love, Me
