Hello, Sunshine! Can you believe it’s Summer break? Do you have any vacations planned? We don’t at the moment, but this exhausted mama could sure use one.
Living in the Sunshine State requires having sunscreen at all times. I’ve tried a few at-home sunscreen recipes that I’ve found on Pinterest, but I always end up with a bad sunburn.
Here are five of my favorite drugstore sunscreens that you may like, too!
Five Favorite Drugstore Sunscreens
CeraVe® Skin Renewing Day Cream – This is a great daily moisturizer that contains a broad spectrum SPF 30. It doesn’t leave my face oily like a lot of facial moisturizers that contain SPF.
Neutrogena Sheer Zinc™ Sunscreen – I like this sunscreen because it uses 100% naturally-sourced zinc oxide. It’s hypoallergenic, sweat and waterproof, offers UVA/UVB protection, and it’s dermatologist tested.
Sun Bum Clear Zinc SPF 50 – Again, this another zinc based sunscreen, but also contains aloe and vitamin to soothe and moisturizes your skin at the same time as it’s protecting it. It also smells like you’re in the islands.
Babyganics – This does the best job of protecting my little ones and it’s gentle for their faces, too! It’s really thick, but it doesn’t sting when it’s applied. My kids have never had a sunburn when I use it on them and it’s a mineral-based sunscreen.
Up & Up Kids Sunscreen Spray – This one is not a mineral-based sunscreen, but it provides excellent coverage for long days out in the sun.
Have a wonderful summer break and please protect your skin while outside!
