Everest Nutrition Krill Oil – More Antioxidant Power, No Fishy Aftertaste

I’ve been taking a fish oil supplement for several years now. When I was pregnant with my oldest a few years ago the prenatal pills I was prescribed contained DHA, an Omega-3 fatty acid that aided in the growth and development of my unborn child. Two babies later, I fully understand the importance of incorporating Omega 3s into my diet. Research shows that krill oil contains more Omega 3s and more antioxidant power than the highest grade fish oil.  In fact Everest Nutrition Krill Oil offers 54x more antioxidant power than fish oil. When I was asked to review Krill Oil, I was thrilled! I took two Krill Oil capsules everyday for the past two weeks. Honestly, I was a little scared to take the capsules because you can see the oil swirling around inside of the capsules, but my fear was unwarranted. The capsules are not as large...

Embracing the Mess

Embracing the Mess

“Walking through my house at night to get to Bryn’s room should be considered an Olympic Sport!” When I woke-up Monday morning I saw this as a friend of mine’s status on facebook.  It shouldn’t have made me smile, but it did. I was relieved to know it wasn’t only me. Here are some of the other comments left: “Ha, ha. I know that all too well.” “Yay, it’s not just my house.” “I hear ya!” “I feel like a ping pong ball bouncing off walls and dodging toys! Last night I tripped over a Tangled Doll!” “You should try to walk around in David’s room, LEGO’s everywhere! I think it gets worse every year…” “I stepped straight from a tiny japanese action figure onto a monster truck last night. Sometimes I feel like the toys are alive and trying to get me.” I’ll admit the toy tornado in...

Fixing a Cabinet Oops

Fixing a Cabinet Oops

As you know we’re moving, so I’ve been packing and getting the house cleaned-up from the three tornadoes I live with. One day I went to clean my husband and son’s bathroom only to find a sink cabinet with stain missing from it. Neither one claims to know what “happened” to the cabinet. My husband blamed a gnome, so I assume he’s the guilty party. My dad suggest I find a wood marker to fill in the missing stain. Luckily, Lowe’s has Homax® Wood Stain Marker Pen to remedy the cabinet oops. The Homax® Wood Stain Marker Pen repairs scratches and other imperfections where finish has been removed. Use on furniture, cabinets, molding and other stained wood surfaces. The pen allows for pin point accuracy and a no-mess application. Contains actual wood stain; select the color that best matches your existing finish.     Overall, I’m pretty happy with...

Pinterest Inspiration – New Home Office

We’re moving AGAIN! It’s the fifth time in less than six years. I’m a pro at it. I never unpacked from the last move and I never really had the chance to settle in, decorate and enjoy the house we’re currently in. I’m not sure how long we will be in the house we’re moving to, but this time I’m determined to at least unpack and decorate. I work at home and need my own office space where I can shut the door and block out the noise and chaos happening in the house. I found some great office spaces while busy researching on Pinterest for designing ideas . I love black furniture, but I found the white spaces with bright pops of color really alluring. I love pink and it will be found somewhere in my office.   BLACK, WHITE AND PINK OFFICE SPACE Source: bhg.com via My...
