I don’t know how I do it, but I am the master of impeccable timing. Six days before Christmas and I come down with a nasty cold. Seriously?
My hubby swears by code orange. So tonight it’s me, two kids, orange juice and two shots of my buddy Jack.
Does anyone else know of a good homemade miracle worker to get rid of the common cold?

No homemade stuff, we knock our colds out asap with Zicam. I doesn’t taste great (we get the one that dissolves under the tongue so it’s not as bad as the spray or chewable one) but it knocks the cold out in a matter of a day or two. The only home remedy I use if I don’t have Zicam is to flush it out. I literally drown the mucus in water. I don’t eat or drink anything but water and lemon tea and I literally have so much of it that the cold can’t stick around. It usually takes only two days to flush out even the worst cold this way. BUT, be prepared to go to the bathroom a gazillion times with that much water

Hi Fawn, I use Zicam too, but I couldn’t find it last night. I like to use a neti pot, but I read where two women died using a neti pot from an ameoba infection. I’ll have to stock up on Zicam and try your water and lemon tea trick. Thanks for sharing
