"I can’t even tell you how many people just say ‘Oh, get an abortion.’ Like it’s not a big deal."

I don’t know anything about Kourtney Kardashian, but she recently announced her pregnancy to the world.

Kourtney said after consulting her doctors on the risks of abortion, and reading horror stories on the Internet, she did some soul-searching.

"For me, all the reasons why I wouldn’t keep the baby were so selfish," she told People. "It wasn’t like I was raped, it’s not like I’m 16. I’m 30 years old, I make my own money, I support myself, I can afford to have a baby. And I’m with someone who I love."

I can relate to Kourtney, I had an unplanned pregnancy. As Kourtney said, “I can’t even tell you how many people just say "’Oh, get an abortion.’ Like it’s not a big deal.”

Guess what! It is a big deal. As a person of faith, I have fallen short many times, but I’m forgiven by God’s grace. I believe that God said in Jeremiah 1:5

I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.

I believe each one of us has been molded together by God. However we choose to live our lives is up to us.

I’m pro-choice. But not in the common context. I believe each one of us makes the choice to have sex knowing that is how babies are conceived.

Although there were those who suggested an abortion, the thought never crossed my mind. I was not going to destroy a life based on a poor choice made by me. I decided to have sex, knowing the consequences of my actions. My baby had no voice.

My unplanned, could have been aborted baby just turned 4. Not a day goes by that I regret my decision. I believe my baby is a miracle. A gift from God. I’m so thankful everyday that I get to see my baby grow into this amazing little kid.
